I’m rounding up pigeons and snails for a mail project so … who wants some lettuce?

What?!

Noted is an experimental writing festival happening from 16-20 March in Canberra. I’ll be crafting poems from the Noted environment and posting them to people around the country. That’s where you come in…

Can’t make it to Noted but want a piece, a sense, a souvenir? Are you feeling a little isolated – geographically or otherwise? Do you seek connective threads? Do you love snail mail, pine after pigeon post, miss the days when mailboxes were filled with personal surprises?

Open to all people: ages, abilities, assemblages (individuals, collectives, organisations), … , … humans are diverse,  you get the picture.

What might I be inviting into my mailbox, you wonder? Taste a sample of old lettuce.

* A ‘perhaps letter’ is one that will arrive, perhaps. Due to human limitations postal correspondence is not guaranteed, however all those who express interest will receive the delightful joy of anticipation.

All creations will be documented online. So if you live beyond the postal limits, prefer to watch from the sidelines, or just plain enjoy sneaky peeks at other people’s mail, we’ve got you covered.

Postal Project March 16 – 20

Australian Poetry Slam finalist Indigo Eli will be documenting, posting and sharing festival moments beyond geographic limits. Expect poems constructed from the Noted Festival environment, quoted tidbits of overheard festival chat and handwritten notes – connecting remote individuals intimately, collated online.
