Tram Stop 6 – Way To Go

Some years ago I wrote little concrete poems for a large, very concrete space. They were turned into street signs and pinned in place. They are still there…

Tram Stop 6 – Way To Go

This public art project was curated and designed by poet Mike Ladd and artist Cathy Brooks in collaboration with the City of Marion in South Australia.

Poets responded to the site with concrete poetry, a selection of which were transformed into street signs and a mural.

Here are the results of my word offerings, designed into signs by Cathy Brooks:

Launched in 2015, the project can still be found at the corner of South Rd and Glengyle Tce in Glandore SA.

If you’re lucky, you might also stumble across a more transient installation joining in the fun:

More on the project can be found here, in a post by fellow poet Ian Gibbins, and here on the City of Marion’s Art in public places page.
