My piece was not at all about gender binary or difference – so not my vibe! With such an odd, atypical take one can only assume the live reviewing process, fast-paced event, and repetition of the words ‘he’ and ‘she’ in the poem got in the way of true listening.
My poem was in fact describing something far more real, more complex, taboo … left unspoken in this review.
