performance & presentations

poetry speaks the unspoken

indigo shares and performs her crafted considerations to reflect, connect and start conversation.

Journeying into the personal and universal, the social and philosophic, her works play with big topics alongside the significance of the (seemingly) small.

With one hand she lifts the carpet to consider the hidden, deeply complex or taboo. While her other stretches starward for a hearty handshake with wonder and awe.

indigo’s spoken word offerings span the everyday and existential with depth, vulnerability, humour and joy.

She is invested in the individual and communal; in who we are, how we treat and understand ourselves, our world, and each other.

indigo loves to let poetry play … especially where it isn’t expected … and to see what happens.

themes & presentations

Poetic performance and presentations can be customised to suit your conference, forum, festival, team building day, or other fab gatherings.

Themes or topics might include:
words, poetry, language and other communications … connection, community, care, participation … arts, law, housing, science, business, careers, the body, health, mental health … personal power, social justice, social impact … the experimental & abstract … meaning, creativity, ritual … problem solving, perspective shifting … voice, individuality … boundaries, bullies, silence, speaking up … grief, crisis, hope, empathy, symbolism, romance, joy … birds, eggs, envelopes, taxidermy, snail mail, stitching, textiles, objects, collection … love, death and all the humanness in between.

beyond the spoken word

indigo has a multi-form, sensory and conceptual approach to art making.

This allows her to blend and incorporate: spoken word, audio, visual, digital, tactile, research, ideas, explorations and explanations, installations and participatory elements into her presentations.

access & inclusion

indigo values accessibility & inclusivity … in general, and in her work.
Discussions about accessible content and approaches are always welcome.
